Taking kids on holiday
Hey all. My little one turns 4 in August so is starting school in September.
I don’t know if I’m being silly but I’m sure I’ve seen something before saying that you can take kids out of school (without getting fined) before they turn 5 years old? Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes I’m certain it’s before 5 you won’t get the fine. 5 is compulsory school age x
As mentioned it's the term after they turn 5 cos you have the option with babies born in the summer turn to defer starting school a year as legally they don't have to be there until the year after.
Yes definitely can't get fined until they're 5. I've booked a holiday for September when my little one starts school. Making the most of it before she's 5 x
