Vacation or staycation?

Which do you prefer? (family with young kiddos here!) Husband took a week off of work with zero plans and it was awesome! We got nothing done around the house but we just did what we wanted and enjoyed family time! Now the kids are wanting him nonstop rather than me being default parent so we’ll be sad when he goes back to work tomorrow! I love a good vacation and LIVE for the beach, but last time we took a little trip we left early and lost out on the money we paid because we wanted to be home 🤷🏼‍♀️ we have a 3 yr old and a 7 month old so it’s honestly so much work to feel relaxed on a vacation 😂

But my staycations usually involve Disney because FL and we live 1.5hrs away. Haven’t taken little man yet though

With kids staycation Without kids vacation It's so much work taking young kids on vacation that to me it's not even worth it. I have a 10, 3, and a 2 year old.

Staycation with those ages prolly but vacation overall.

I love vacations with my kids! We never fly, though, so that makes a big difference. I’m not looking forward to flying with them in the future, but hopefully by then, they’ll enjoy it. Road trips are a little hard, but when we’re at our destination for a few days, we really enjoy it.

If there’s an opportunity for me to get out of the house, I’m on it. Staycation is ok only if it involves day trips to local areas. I love taking my daughter to new or exciting places, distance doesn’t matter.

Definitely, vacation needs to get out of the house/town/city just out. We drive everywhere and have found some amazing camp spots and hoilday parks or stayed in cabins/motels. we love exploring our state/country, and our son gets to experience it all and learn about his country through experience, not just through books/TV shows that he absolutely loves.

Staycation sounds right for you! 🌴 Don't worry about other people's plans...
