I just made some taste safe paint for my boy who’s 15 months. Obviously I Don’t encourage eating it but if he does put a bit in his mouth quicker than I can say no it’s harmless. I used flour which you bake before to kill bacteria for 7-10 minutes, cold water and food colouring. You can even use natural colourings like beetroot powder, turmeric, carrot, paprika, saffron ect… have a google. I just used safe for food colouring. Red, yellow and blue and made a range of colours. He loved it x

My little boy is in nursery and does all types of arts and crafts. Paint, shaving foam, corn flour, yoghurt play, pasta play, water play, sand play, everything. I also do alot at home too, even make my own playdough. He does try to taste it now and again but I just remind him not to. They soon realise it tastes horrid haha

I haven’t tried it yet but have just bought some paints to do this week! You put a few blobs of paint on a piece of paper and then either put it inside a sandwich bag or cover it with clingfilm and then they squish the paint around but its inside the bag/under the cling film so they don’t get covered in it!
