Can’t find a job

I’m a full time student and mom to a 1 year old. I’ve been applying for almost a year now. Walmart, target, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, etc. I need somewhere with flexible hours since I’m in school but for some reason out of the 100 applications I’ve only had 4 interviews and no job offers. Idk what to do. All my credit cards are maxed out and my boyfriend doesn’t make enough to cover all our bills. HELP

Did you check if your campus has a career center? Usually they can help point you in the direction of job opportunities and internships.

@Jennifer yes, I’ve gone to my schools career center. I just started with workforce last week for help. And I go to every job fair I find

Olive Garden! They’re always hiring. Get into a take out or serving position

Domino’s delivery was the best job to have during school!

DoorDash/UberEats/Uber/Postmates or any of those platforms if you have a car!!!

I've seen fast food joints hire literally ANYBODY. Do you have felonies?

@Tiffany fast food will not hire you if you’re too smart. I was simply a high school graduate at 17 with zero work experience and McDonald’s refused to hire me because they said I was “over qualified” after taking their tests

@BrittanyRenee I'm way overqualified as a medical assistant with some college in business but they still hired me so fast (I only worked there like 2 weeks because it sucked.)

@Tiffany I have a clean record, and 2 years experience at In-N-Out

@BrittanyRenee my boyfriend said I’m over qualified since I have 6 years of work experience and an Associates degree

@Tiffany medical will hire over qualified people, fast food won’t bc they say they have to pay them more

I just got hired as a teacher aid. On call no credits needed but will be nice if you have child development or just experience with your littles… try with your local day care or head start. Idk I went from dental billing no job and now this. It’s nice they accept my hours I needed and communication is key from the begging though(:

@BrittanyRenee that's not true. 😂 They pay everyone the same rate unless they're management. For short bursts I've worked at bk, McDonald's, and Jimmy John's and thats having college, ece lisences and a degree. Fast food places love educated people because they have management potential.
