For the sahm moms

Is your house perfectly clean every day when your spouse gets home? Do you always have dinner (home cooked meal) on the table ready? How often do you not?

Dinner is always ready but don’t look at the sink. 😂 I do try to clear the living room before he gets home though it gets trashed again after dinner.

Dinner usually (unless we’ve planned dinner just us after LOs bedtime) but the house is trash 😂 I do some odd jobs in naptime but otherwise we share the load in the evenings/at weekends.

He’s the cook in the household so no. Dinner is not ready. He gets home at 3PM. We’re not eating dinner that early As for a clean house, toys are on the floor usually because my toddler is napping most of the time when my husband gets home anyway and I’m napping too

I clean everyday sometimes multiple times a day (mostly the floors) I have a dishwasher so there is never any dishes in the sink & I mostly do them right away so they don’t stack up, I do the laundry but if I need help my man will help me after work, And I make sure dinner is ready every time he comes home, the only time I don’t is when we don’t have many groceries which is maybe like one day a week.

No and no. 🤣

I clean when my husband has the day off. If I try to clean while he’s at work, I ignore the kids. I do not like to do that. And dinner, he makes it for us. Two kids, different nap times, I barely have time to eat a frozen dinner for lunch.

No dinner isnt until 530 6pm My house is not perfectly clean.

I'm abit of a clean freak so house is always spotless, i can't settle if messy and I cook home made tea every night , I'm not expected to just like to it's least I can do while my hubby works full time bringing the pennies in 😁

I always have dinner and I always pick up the front rooms but I was injured in my last pregnancy so I haven't been able to keep everything completely spotless between breastfeeding a baby minding a toddler and having a torn abdomen and being pregnant again even though I wanted my tubes tied but was refused but anyway it'll get easier after I heal from the surgery I need

No to the clean house always to the food lol

Well I have to eat too. So I cook dinner for the both of us weekdays, Friday nights I cook then he comes home and I leave it there and eats by himself or he’ll call my sisters and their partners over for company, since I go out every Friday. We eat out on weekends so I don’t cook on weekends onIy 4-5 days a week. House is okay, but he helps me clean at night and when I put the toddler to bed, he’ll clean up kitchen and put a load of washing on and a cuppa ready for me when I come out of putting the toddler to bed, and he puts the toddler to bed on a Friday, since I leave at 6.30-7. And Tuesdays coz my dance lessons are from 7-10

It's either one or the other 😅 and all rooms are never clean at the same time. I take it day by day and if he doesn't like it he can find another restaurant and hotel 🤣🤣 I'm just kidding. But i do try to cook most nights and I spend all day cleaning just to clean all day.

He works from home, so at some point while he’s home it gets messy and at some point it gets clean. Food, yes most days now, because I want kids eating healthy But before we relied on takeout a lot because I genuinely hate cooking

House is usually “messy” with toys but then we do bath time together for the LO around 645pm-7pm and clean up toys and cook dinner together or order something. This is every night. My hubs doesn’t get off till 6 so he’s home usually 6:20-6:30 so we eat dinner later since LO eats at 5. He cleans up kitchen before bed each night.

i normally cook but the house is a mess right now😅

My husband is a chef and eats at work, plus he gets home late, so I’m not expected to do that for him. I feed myself and my toddler. The house is not spotless but I rarely leave it the tornado that it is during the day.

I made a spreadsheet of what my weekly schedule looks like. My husband understands if I have neither done. However, I try to clean the house a little everyday and make him breakfast, lunch, and at least a stir fry with frozen veggies for dinner when he is working from home. When he is traveling for work, I focus on cleaning house/kids more and food made with the air fryer. My husband will help out with stuff for the kids or simple chores when I ask him to or when he sees I'm really struggling and he is at home.

Absolutely nothing gets done during the day 🤣 when my partner gets home at 6-6:30pm he then plays with lo whilst i clean, cook etc..

House is always cleaned. Before pregnancy yes, dinner was always ready. Now she sorts dinner as everything gags me.

I always have a homecooked meal ready everyday. Cleaning is probably twice a week

Dinner is ready every day, but cleaning is a shared responsibility. I do some maintenance tidying and a load of laundry during the day; but my job is to entertain and enrich the baby.

So with meals we will do every other day on who makes dinner and one night we make all the leftovers in the house ! I try to clean up the general areas so that there’s not random clothes on the floor or any food trash from the kids!

We switch often. Sometimes I will be cooking then sometimes he will be cooking. Same goes for cleaning and my daughter clean her messes up that she made after she is done playing with her toys or done with her art work. But I do the laundry majority of the time.

My husband is a self employed truck driver. I never know when he’s gonna be home. I don’t clean on a schedule but I try to have dinner ready generally around the same time every day. Sometimes I do it earlier and sometimes later. Even if he is t home me and my daughter will eat and I’ll put up the leftovers and he eats whatever time he gets home. Sometimes it’s right after cooking others it’s 2-3 am. Just depends. I always have something for him to eat regardless.

House is clean and dinner ready/ prepped most days but I'm pregnant and we've had norovirus so I've been lazy the past week. My husband offers to do anything after work, he's too good 🥲

Why you gotta ask such questions haha

usually dinner is cooking when he gets home, rarely is it all ready. my house is never perfectly clean lol. i do my best

My house is messy about once a week because I don't clean when my husband is off work. It sounds dumb and lazy but he works a lot and is in sales so his 1-2 days off work we play with the kids go out shopping and tend to eat out. That being said I clean extra hard the day before his day off. And I also have been practicing minimalism so that's been helping.

My answer to this question would be different depending on the age of the kids. As my kids are now 4 and 2.5, I have more time to get things done in the daytime between school runs. The house is clean, with the usual amount of kid clutter when you have small kids. I do most of the cooking and either prep it during the day or make a 30 minute meal right before dinner time.

Clean yes, dinner already cooked almost never 😅

Im not a sahm but me and my partner do 50-50

@Faith same. If my husband is home the house can wait til he's working again

The house is clean ish but definitely not spotless. I do what I can somedays that’s a lot others it’s barely anything. I cook 3-5 times a week but don’t usually start until husband is home and he takes over with baby

The house is mostly clean and I have a meal or if it’s a day I am barely making it through I’ll have him pick up something but always make sure the kids are feed. He comes home at 8pm so it’s a little hard to have the place clean as I’m getting them ready for bed and taking care of the kids but he’ll usually help me pick up The living room and I do dishes in the am

I keep up with cleaning everyday. Otherwise I feel overwhelmed if things get too messy. Investing in some good cleaning tools has been life changing. Toys are put away before bedtime since she wants to play when hubby is done with work. We eat out or order in maybe twice a month. Hubby cooks once a day since he wfh.

I dont cook until he gets home, but its been hard to keep the house clean and i generally do a different task each day. But i also dont really get any help, and with a velcro baby its hard to stay caught up sometimes.

Yes, there is always dinner for when he gets home. However I go through phases of wanting to cook every day, other times make a big batch of dinner so we have leftovers the following night, or I order food. I don't have it on the table for when he walks in. I clean my house every day but that's for me, not him. I like it clean and he couldn't care less 🫠

My anxiety and ocd don’t allow me to not keep my house clean and I don’t like eating dinner late. I can’t control my brain, I can control how clean my house is and when dinner is ready.

i don’t cook but my house is not cleaned everyday. i have a baby and dogs to take care of. while i do the dishes and tidy everyday (even tho it does not look like it because 1 year old life) i only actually clean 1-2 times a week on average. i spot clean and sweep as needed.

Majority days, yes
