NHS maternity leave

Does anyone know if you need to return to work for a certain amount of time to qualify for a second paid maternity leave?

You do not according to this. Looked it up for a friend recently. https://www.nhsemployers.org/articles/calculating-maternity-pay-concurrent-periods-maternity-leave

There is something like qualifying period ( somewhere between 17-25 weeks I believe). And your maternity pay is calculated based on your income during this period. So when on maternity leave during this period I guess your mat pay would be based on that. It’s so difficult that an everyday mortal is not meant to understand it 🤦‍♀️

Id likely be back for just over 3 months, part time, plus an extra month of full time annual leave before I return, so I'm assuming that's fine then x

That sounds absolutely fine to me, the minimum is usually 3 months to have to pay it back if you're leaving the NHS so I assume its similar, congratulations!? X
