Maternity NHS question
Hey, so in the NHS policy, it states if you go off sick for maternity related issues within 4 weeks of babys due date then your Maternity automatically starts which is fine but my manager has come to me recently and said from 32weeks…. Can anyone shed any light please?

Hi, so this is actually nothing to do with the NHS, this is Government policy and applies to all employers https://www.gov.uk/working-when-pregnant-your-rights (I work in HR)

Check your works maternity policy. It’ll tell you in there. Mine is the same as NHS and is 4 weeks before due date
