@Terri , sorry I forgot to mention that we're using condoms at the moment🙈. Are you having any side effects using the mini pill?💓
I have used so many different contraceptive pills and I didn’t get along with any of them. I ended up having a hormonal coil. The thought of the implant scared me, and I wasn’t allowed patches due to chronic migraines. The coil was great because I didn’t have to think about it for years, the cons however were that sometimes (sorry, tmi incoming) that deep penetration could be painful and cause light bleeding. However the month after getting it removed I fell naturally pregnant with triplets whilst using condoms 😂
It depends on what kind of length of time you want protection for. I knew I wanted at least 3 years between children so I opted for the implant as that can stay put for 3 years and you don't have to think about it. Currently after my second baby I'm on the pill as my husband is getting a vasectomy so I'm covered in the meantime but can come off of them when he's given the all clear X I don't like the coil purely because of people I know having issues with them and it put me off x
There has been some spotting this time around. Whereas, when I have taken it previously my periods stopped completely. Apart from the spotting, I haven't experienced anything adverse really.
I'm looking at female sterilisation. Because that seems like the only one I have not heard a single complaint about. And also because I am already having doubts about having more kids 🫣
I had the implant fitted in my arm approx 2 months pp. my body still adjusting, I didn’t have much of a ‘cycle’ and would bleed randomly, however now I haven’t had a period in a good couple of months, doesn’t affect my skin (others have made me quite spotty). Would recommend based on my experience. Very quick and easy procedure by a nurse at my doctors surgery.
I hope you're using another form of contraception at the moment, otherwise you might find yourself with another little one before you know it! You're super fertile now! I'm on the mini pill, which I take every day without a break. Works well for me!
