Mini pill

I stopped taking desogestrel last week after 11 weeks because of constant bleeding. I have a gp appointment tomorrow so am doing my research before the call and I’ve seen online that taking two pills a day has stopped the bleeding for some people. Has anyone been in a similar position? I have endometriosis so I really want to stop my periods but don’t want the coil.

This happened to me 3 years ago after my first baby! It was non stop for 4/5 months😫 I switched from Degestrol to Noriday and it worked wonders so I am back on it again💕

It took about 3 months to settle for me on destrogel, now I don't bleed at all

This happened to me too and the GP recommended taking 2 a day

I stopped taking it for this exact reason too. I’m on cerazette now and have no bleeding at all xx

I was on the mini pill for about 10 years with no bleeding. But after having a baby, it would give me bleeds that lasted for a 2-3 weeks. I tried coming off it and going back on a couple of times but the same thing happened. I went to the doctors and they recommended doubling up on the pills or switching to injections, implant, or coil. I went for the implant in the end, but doubling up on the pill is a good option!

@Francesca how have you found doubling up? I think that’s what I’m going to do. My GP said you should r double up long term though and only recommended a month?

@Sophie I did it for a few months and it really helped to stop the bleeding! Back to one pill now and all good 😁
