Hello, I’ve started it about 4/5 weeks ago, on 50mg. Mainly for low mood, anxiety and ocd. I had really bad nausea for about 3 or 4 days in the morning (I take it in the evening) and kept waking up during the night for a couple of weeks. I can’t say I can see a massive difference but I am still early into taking it. I think my anxiety is less intense, if that makes sense? But I did speak to my dr about upping the dose if I don’t feel much better. Hope your doing ok x

I was on it before my LB, I was taking 200mg during my pregnancy and in the early days, I stopped taking it in December 2023. Personally I found that it made me feel numb and the side affects were too much. The headaches, sweats, brain zaps and sicknesses were way too much for me to handle😂

I've been on it since I gave birth to my little girl and found it's really helping me, I haven't noticed any side affects, I'm on 100mg

I had no side effects but it made me feel a bit numb, but also made me be able to go out without having anxiety attacks, hit sweats etc, I stopped taking it around 2022/2023, and was on it just before covid fully started

Works differently for everyone but I absolutely hated it, I somehow ended up worse and in the hospital and that’s when I stopped taking it

Thank you so much all really helpful. Did anybody notice any weight difference?

I was prescribed 50mg a day a few months ago. The first 24 hours it made me feel really dizzy and sick and then it went away. I haven’t noticed any side affects and it hasn’t made me gain weight. It is helping me stay calmer. I would like to come off it but I still have very down days so it’s prob best I stay on it for a while.

Mainly headache / nausea .. sometimes rapid heartbeat / anxiety symptoms.. but they subside after a week or so… this is my second time being on them..

I was on 50mg of Sertraline for about 8 months in 2022. Initially, like with any medication of this sort, the first 2/3 weeks can be rough with side effects while it gets into your system. Mine included lower mood (I was on them for anxiety), sweats, headaches, jaw clenching, nausea and dizziness and fatigue. Once these had passed however it really did work for me, and lifted my anxiety completely. No weight gain noticed. My husband has also tried it for his depression and it didn’t work for him. It definitely depends on the individual, and it can take a bit of time to find a medication that works for you!

I have been on it for a few months now and it definitely helped me, for me it does mess with my sleep so my doc just recommended to try to take it in the morning, also I need to eat before because if I take them on an empty stomach it gives me the worst heartburn, but otherwise no problem once I got through the first few weeks

I starting taking this back in October at first I used have the sweats felt sick but now it has helped me loads but don’t have any side affects now I am in 100 mg xx

I started this in November. No side effects at all, took about 4/5 weeks to see any changes but I was increased to 100mg this week. So far no side effects

@Carys this is good to know about upping the dose, I was worried the side effects would come back if I upped it!

@Phillippa yeah I haven’t noticed a difference yet but I’m only 4 days in to the increased dose! I just read your comment above, I also didn’t feel much difference which is why I upped the dose! I have it 2.5 months but !

@Carys yeah I feel like the anxiety isn’t as intense as it had got but not feeling a massive change. So might up it, the dr said I could go 75mg so maybe I’ll do it gradually 🤞🏼
