I’ve been with this man for 6 years we have a son , but I started to notice a lot of things he wasn’t okay with me doing he’s doing and says it’s not a problem now . I started to notice he gets random outbursts of anger and gripped me by the wrist and yanked me towards the bed and called me a dumb ass , the night before he pushed me by the chest and gripped me by my backpack hard where I fell on the floor . I told him my concerns and he laughed in my face and said we’re rough during s3x so now I wanna complain but like what does during s3x and a heated argument make it okay ?? He even made a promise last night he wouldn’t touch me like that ever again basically admitting he knows he does. Is this a sign he will get more physical?

Yes, he’s gaslighting you by saying: you’re okay with it when it’s consensual for you? but not okay with it when it’s not? there’s a huge difference between consensual sex and using violence and dominance to control and intimidate. This is absolutely a sign he will get more physical, the hardest/most dangerous step is leaving. If you do decide to, make sure you have a plan in place in case you need to.
