Loneliness

My LO is 7 weeks old. And i heard everyone saying parenthood is lonely but I never thought it meant you have literally nobody. Anyone else feeling this way? I’m home alone with him through the day as my partner is in work. I have one close friend but she’s about to give birth any day now so we are unable to do anything as she’s resting ready for baby. And everyone else I talk to works through to day. I literally feel so lonely through the day. I’m hoping it gets easier when baby is more alert etc but he just eats and sleeps most of the day, I have about an hour after every feed where he’s awake and I play/talk etc with him but still feel so lonely. Sorry just needed to say this somewhere because I feel like im loosing my mind.

Yep I can relate I’m constantly asking my husband what time are you coming back from work😿

It’s fine dw I understand how you feel I’m in the same position my son is 11 weeks old and I’ve just moved into my own rented place so it’s the first time I’ve been alone like that usually I had my mum and sisters

i feel the same way too. and to top it off my family stays a good distance away from me. i find myself constantly wanting to be with them. and i have no friends.

I feel the same way too. I’m a SAHM and my sons almost 12 weeks old, while it’s amazing because I get to be with my son all day and hear him babble and watch how he grows, it’s that adult component that I’m missing. None of my friends have kids so I don’t really have anyone other than my sister who lives in the same town and my husband. It definitely gets lonely..

Relatable! My little guy is almost 4 months old, I dont really have many mom friends and the ones I have aren’t close by and don’t drive. I’ve got one friend close by but sometimes she’s just a lot to be around and I’m so exhausted with my baby. Being a mom is hard as hell, but I love my boy and wouldn’t change a thing. But sometimes wish it wasn’t so lonely for sure. My partner has been home pretty much since he was born, which I mean, great I love the help, but also wish I had some space too😂 I just have 0 interaction outside our house (other than a cashier at the store) since I had my son and it just is insane

I felt this exact way when my daughter was this age. What I found helped me was going out for walks to get air and listening to music/ podcasts. It does get very lonely but once baby gets older and more alert, you’ll have much more fun going out to places.
