Acid reflux? Need help!

Hey yall, so my baby is 7wks (breastfed) and she has had two episodes where she spits up out of her nose and it’s thick then she goes stiff and starts chocking or struggling to breathe. We sucker out her nose to help her but it’s been scary. It doesn’t happen right after I feed her, it’s like she wakes out of a nap and it happens. We keep her upright 20min after a feed and all her other spit up has been liquid and flows out and she doesn’t choke but twice now it’s been so thick. Anyone else have this issue? We went to the er the first time it happened and they said she’s fine and isn’t sick. She does have thrush could that be it? It’s just scary and we aren’t getting sleep scared this will happen while we sleep. Pls help.

I think it could be acid reflux. It happened like this for our little girl. We got prescribed gaviscon and didn’t happened since

@Imelda ok cause I’m so scared for her. Happened for the first time thanksgiving night and we can’t get in to see her peds until Monday so I’m just nervous. The spot up is so thick and her going stuff is so scary

Sounds like reflux. Our little guy will choke from time to time and it’s so scary. We’ve been going to the chiropractor and it’s helped soooo much

Following. My son is around the same age and he does the same thing but it isn’t thick and consistency is the same as breast milk but it only happens when he is straining from trying to poop or poot so🤷🏽‍♀️

@Geneva she has those too which are easier cause it’s watery but what has happened recently has been super thick like almost yogurt thick

@Paisley is it thick like yogurt? That’s how thick hers is and she will get like thick saliva in her mouth

Yes the really thick spit up episodes have been happening with my newest baby. Out of his nose and gagging to spit it out it seems like. Even happened while we were in the Hospital and they just suctioned him and said to keep him more up right after feeding and we had been but sometimes laying down to change him brings it back up. Just continue to suction and keep baby upright after feeding. With my oldest daughter she had to see a GI specialist for the same thing and the doctor said she may grow out of it as her body grows, she did.

My baby had to be put on medicine for it. But it sounds like reflux. I lost my milk about five months in and he had to be out on Simulaic Alummintium
