I would say that in more sterile house you keep her bigger chances for her to get sick late when going out more. Sickness is natural and something that happens to all of us. Baby will be fine and if worried you always can get baby to doctor 🙂

It’s actually better for them to start getting little coughs and colds now and build an immunity than to shield them x

I know its better for her to get stuff now, but i’m so worried about rsv and her ending up in hospital!

I'm a therapist and here is my bit, Firstly babies should get ill young and build their immune system because once they're in settings like school etc. They'll get ill way more and quicker if they've not already had illnesses. Second, children will at some point end up in hospital, they're kids they'll fall, they'll eat dirt, shove things in their nose. Worrying about something that may or may not happen is stopping you from living and also teaching your baby unhelpful behaviours. Youre worried more because you think you won't be able to cope with it but you're stronger than you think. You've been in worse situations labour is a prime example you got through it shows you're resilient. Thirdly, you need to ask yourself this, what are the chances rsv is everywhere and the chances your 5/6month old is going to be exposed to it when there's so many, if you roughly plot this on a pie chart you'll find the chances that there are rsv germs on an item and your baby just happens to pick it up is really slim

@Fatima how can i stop these thoughts though? I know she will get ill at some point, but the anxiety i feel over it is overwhelming!

If it's meant to happen, it will happen. You worry or not. And if she won't have any immunity, then other illnesses can hit harder too. What you think of, you attract, so think good things and better work on yourself and your thoughts.❤️

@Incognito you use the techniques I mentioned in the message. Worries are there to keep us safe
