Feeding time

I’ve been doing the pumping and bottle feeding game since the hospital. Have been struggling to keep my milk supply up. Recently took a week off for my mental health. Still producing milk just at a slower pace. I have been giving him straight formula though. Am I bad mother for stopping my pumping? I just feel terrible that he hasn’t gotten my milk for a while. Here’s a picture of my beautiful baby boy 🥰

No, fed is best! It doesn’t matter how whether it’s formula or breast milk as long as his fed and you’re mental health is good as well, it doesn’t matter how he eats, you do what’s best for both of yall!

You are not a bad mother! You are feeding your baby and taking care of your mental health ❤️ You are a good mother

Same here 🥺 my baby was born 3 weeks early and I have low milk supply. Been trying to increase it from Day 1 (pumping every 2 hrs in addition to power pumping, taking every supplement, etc.) but no luck. I'm still pumping but I'm tempted to stop because it's so draining but I also feel guilty stopping 😭 I can't even produce 1oz per pump unless I wait 4-5hrs.

You are doing a great job Mama! Your baby looks happy and healthy! It doesn’t matter how he is fed as long as he is eating! Remember that you have to take care of yourself too!

“I took a week off for my mental health” right there recognizes your a great mom. If you let the expectations set on breast feeding take over and ruin your mental health you would not be able to have been a present mother. I have Combi fed since birth as well for multiple reasons. Mental health, knowing I had to return to work, etc. I’m proud of my decision and I only keep my milk up now because I like the bonding. It has nothing to do in my mind about nutrients etc. I’m doing the best for myself and my baby so we both have quality of life. You’re doing a great job

I’m in the same situation 🥹 it’s not easy . It’s so hard to make the call somedays I want to give up and just formula feed but right now I’m just giving her what I do have .
