I still ate vegetarian rolls, it's the raw fish that's the threat. I still had runny yolk eggs, soft cheeses (nearly all cheese in Australia is pasteurised anyway), grapes, alfalfa sprouts (yes, they have warnings too 😅). Majority of the things with the highest risk aren't vegetarian, and some of the things were advised not to eat have such a small risk. I didn't have prepackaged sandwiches especially, alcohol, microwave popcorn... I can't even remember what else I started clear from not Some doctors are a little too cautious. I told I wasn't allowed to eat anything at all from a deli (not true, not everything has a risk just cos it's from a deli, that I can't eat even one tiny bit of salad unless I washed it myself at home
@Estelle I’ve not heard of needing to avoid microwave popcorn! Do you know why you were told to avoid it? I’m genuinely curious.
I read that the inside of the packaging is coated in ingredients that may be harmful to the fetus
@Estelle I've never heard of this but this is really good to know! There should be honestly more information about this. Thank you for sharing
Speak to your hospital but mine said very strongly that I can make hand rolls at home and to not eat at a take away sushi shop at all
