I suffer from this, and I went to the doctors for prescribed pill contraceptive called Eloine. It’s the only one in the UK that is supposed to help with PMDD. I had to request it from my Dr but I was on that for a few years and it really helped me. Every other contraceptive pill I’ve tried made me nauseous but this one luckily didn’t (I took it before bed). Sometimes I would run the packs back to back and avoid having a period for a couple of months during particularly stressful times and my periods became shorter and lighter. I know this doesn’t happen for everyone but I personally found it worked well for me. I only came off it to try to conceive, and I didn’t half notice the difference in my moods when coming up to the dreaded 2 weeks before period where I would be borderline suicidal/depressed/mood swings, because of PMDD. Google it and look into it & see what you think. Good luck x
To help me cope while trying to conceive I went hiking loads and I think all the endorphins helped keep me (relatively) sane. I’ve been the same as you though I’ve not suffered much with PMDD during my pregnancy. I’ll be asking for that pill again though once I’ve had my baby and I’m allowed to take it. X
Hello, fellow PMDDer here. have found like you that I had no symptoms when pregnant but came back worse after. I’m still trying to find the best way to manage it, but have found that taking 5HTP and omega 3 from when I ovulate to when I get my period has helped me. Also reducing my sugar intake and eating more healthier fats like avocados and eggs seems to help, along with getting outside for walks here and there and as difficult as I know it is with a baby, trying to get some exercise in as it really does help with mental health and give you a boost Xx
