Fair enough. Maybe tell them Santa isn’t coming this year bc of their behavior. I milk the whole I’m gonna tell Santa from November 1st till Christmas lol but a lot of family gets them stuff already so I don’t usually get them a whole lot. I also can’t really afford much but we make it fun and they are pretty good kiddos so that makes it easier. My son who’s 4 has been having difficulty listening right now and it’s been driving me bonkers! My 11 year old daughter lives with her dad and he lets her have tv, phone, tablet unlimited so when she comes over that’s all she wants to do so trying to navigate how to limit her screen time at my house and haven’t come up with a solution yet other than doing more stuff outside and going to the park
Your kids aren’t entitled to Christmas. The holidays are stressful and expensive enough as it is. If my children were raising hell and being unappreciative I’d bag the tree up and we’d have quiet time for Christmas 🤷🏻♀️
Oh my..my son is 14 months and just messaged the above. I am so sorry
I deleted the GIFs
Its mostly my 5 year old. He has good and bad days. He will yell and scream if you ask him to do something. He will get mad and growl. If he gets in trouble and you try to walk towards him just to talk he screams
Sounds like my 4 year old. Haha we don't celebrate Christmas though. I dont like to lie to him just to do what everyone else is doing. I also don't want him to grow up with a sense of entitlement. Also, times are hard, so why splurge when we can't afford it. There's a lot of compelling reasons to cancel the holidays. Get back to the essence of Christmas if you are religious, which is sacrifice, hope and love, or just do it different or forget about it altogether
Maybe just start looking for stuff. You might think oh so and so would love that. Try to remember what you love about them.
